Toxics Campaign

Toxins are a significant environmental justice issue in this region. Toxins emitted from industrial smoke stacks andwaste water discharge pipes move up the food chain and threaten public health. MEA provides legal assistance to groups that are working to reduce toxic emissions and protect the human right to uncontaminated food and water.

Currently, we are working with groups in Preston, Minnesota and Barron County, Wisconsin, to reduce toxins from incinerators burning tires and municipal garbage. If you need legal assistance to reduce toxins in your community, contact us at advocate@midwestadvocates.org.
