Without snow on the ground, Rob Sandle of Racine has no trouble riding his road racing bicycle down Janesville's North Randall Road on Saturday. Sandle said his wife, Dawn, dropped him off outside Elkhorn on her way from their Racine home to her Janesville dentist's office. Sandle probably will keep his mountain bike-which works better in snow-at home for now. Gazette weather records show that Janesville's winter weather is variable, so we could see the big snowfalls of the past again. But forecasters tell us Wisconsin appears to be in a warming trend.
