Grzezinski joins Midwest Environmental Advocates
Milwaukee attorney Dennis Grzezinski is joining Midwest Environmental Advocates as senior counsel.
Grzezinski has practiced law for 37 years and served for 18 years as a commissioner of the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District.
MEA is based in Madison; Grzezinski will work from Milwaukee.
In a related development, Melissa K. Scanlan, founding executive director and senior counsel, announced that she was leaving the staff, but would begin serving on the organization's board in June. Scanlan's departure was expected.
Midwest Environmental Advocates has been involved in a variety of advocacy issues, including groundwater protection, political independence of the Department of Natural Resources and legal challenges to large-scale farms.
Grzezinski is expected to help expand the number of Milwaukee-based projects for the organization.
