Celebrate 10 Years of Environmental Justice!
In the ten years since Midwest Environmental Advocates opened its doors, we’ve grown and changed. We started as a one woman shop in a windowless office. Now we have a full staff in Madison and Milwaukee and a clinical program where we train the next generation of environmental lawyers. Throughout our history, we’ve been providing the kind of lawyers and expertise Wisconsin communities need to effectively protect the air we breathe and the water we use.
Midwest Environmental Advocates would like to thank everyone who made our tenth anniversary celebration on Friday, October 9th such a success. Both our environmental law seminar and our party and awards reception were well attended and highlighted the fantastic successes of the past ten years as well as challenges yet to come.
During the 10th Anniversary Party we were glad to celebrate our progress and the many people and groups who have contributed to it through the presentation of “Lightning Rod Awards” at the October 9th anniversary party. The awards are called “lightning rods” because of the energizing contributions that that awardees have made to MEA’s work for environmental protection and justice.
MEA would like to congratulate the following awards recipients. Thank you for your many years of dedication, and we look forward to continuing to partner with you during the years to come.
