Executive Director

Midwest Environmental Advocates, Inc. (MEA) currently has an opening for the Executive Director. The position reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for leading the firm, both internally and externally. The Executive Director provides supervision of staff, directs legal representation, writes, speaks and lobbies on current environmental law issues.

Appropriate Candidates must possess a law degree, preferably with an emphasis in environmental law. Experience in litigation involving environmental law is required along with a passion for preserving the environment, a commitment to serving under represented clientele, and a demonstrated ability to build coalitions. Experience in nonprofit or law firm management would be a plus.
