Brent Denzin
Growing up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Brent Denzin pursued his childhood passion for environmental protection at the University of Michigan. Mr. Denzin graduated from University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources with a Bachelor of Sciences in Environmental Policy, as well as from the University of Michigan’s School of Literature, Arts and Sciences with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

After Ann Arbor, Mr. Denzin received his J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School in May, 2005 with Honors. While in law school, Mr. Denzin received the Barbara Crabb Award for Service to Fellow Students, the Deans Academic Achievement Award and was recognized as a national recipient of an Equal Justice Works Fellowship. Additionally, Mr. Denzin co-founded a non-profit environmental organization, Wisconsin Environmental Law Advocates (WELA), and helped successfully litigate one of Wisconsin’s largest Clean Water Act citizen suits as a named plaintiff. Mr. Denzin worked with Midwest Environmental Advocates as an extern, as well as Environmental Defense’s Rocky Mountain Office ( Boulder, CO) as an intern with the organization’s national air program.

Mr. Denzin has joined Midwest Environmental Advocate as an Equal Justice Works Fellow, sponsored in part by Sierra Club. In this capacity, he is leading the Sustaining Communities Campaign.
