Hannah Harris, Communications Specalist

Raised on the outskirts of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Hannah Harris spent a lot of time playing outside on her family’s ten-acre property.  Hannah earned her undergraduate degree in political science and international studies from Northwestern University, where a highlight was studying abroad in France.  Later, she earned a master’s degree in public administration at UW-Madison’s LaFollette Institute of Public Affairs.  Before joining MEA, her career was focused on the national service field, often referred to as the domestic Peace Corps.  She was an AmeriCorps*VISTA worker in Milwaukee, an AmeriCorps program staffer at an agency in Madison, and a program officer at Wisconsin’s state office administering grant funds.  Her hobbies and volunteer activities have often had an environmental focus.  Her favorite place to camp is the Boundary Waters and she hopes to take her two young boys and husband there when the youngest can carry his own backpack!
