James N. Saul, Staff Attorney
Jamie Saul graduated with honors from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2007, with a Certificate in Environmental Law. While in law school, Mr. Saul was the law clerk and Student Director for the Northwest Environmental Defense Center (NEDC), working primarily on Clean Water Act citizen enforcement. He participated in Lewis & Clark’s successful environmental clinic, the Pacific Environmental Advocacy Center (PEAC), and spent a summer clerking for the Seattle office of Earthjustice. Mr. Saul served as Articles Editor of the journal Environmental Law, and was a Finalist at the 2007 National Environmental Moot Court Competition at Pace Law School. He was a recipient of the Natural Resources Law Institute’s Leadership Award as well as the Williamson Award for commitment to public interest environmental law. Mr. Saul holds a B.S. in Geology from the College of William & Mary.
Hailing from Virginia, Mr. Saul has a passion for canoeing and kayaking and the rivers that sustain the natural landscape. Before attending law school, he worked as an outdoor educator, and founded a youth kayaking program that explored the whitewater of the western United States. He will almost always accept an invitation to go canoeing on any of Wisconsin’s famed wilderness rivers.
